Well I'm sitting in the Qantas club enjoying a nice glass of bubbles and looking forward to continuing my travels from last year.
It's off to a great start with an upgrade to Premium Economy-yeah! Some more leg room and hopefully a better night sleep given that it's a midnight departure.
Although coming home early from my trip last year, I only lost 10 days, this continuation has stretched out into a five week holiday. Gotta love thatπππ
The itinerary now takes me to London for a week- lots of theatre I hope, catching up with a couple of friends and some reminiscing as I'm staying in Bayswater (my home turf in 1987!), Holland for the weekend with friends from the Galapagos and then France for time in the WW1 battlefields, followed by Paris and the chance to see Mont Saint Michel - finally. That has been on the bucket list for many years and I'm excited to be finally heading there.
I'll be on my own for most of the trip which is something I haven't done for while in my travels but there's always something special that can happen when you're on your own - the wonderful people who you meet or circumstances that could only ever arise when you're a solo traveler.
Sharing adventures is always the best way to go but as I am on my own this blog is my way to share. I look forward to sharing days ahead with you via my blog.
Cheers
Jules
